This morning I noticed that Sean's first tooth has popped through (bottom left). I tried to take a picture, but it didn't work. Now only a few more to go... ;)

Snowboarding at Heavenly on Friday
I took the day off work on Friday to get a day of snowboarding in. The weather was great, the snow was good, and I didn't lose money playing poker on Thursday night at Harvey's.
I went with a group of guys I was introduced to by my buddy Nate from work. Here we are on Friday with Lake Tahoe in the background at the top of the mountain. As you can see, it was hard to complain about those conditions! It was my first time at Heavenly.

I took a video while snowboarding. It was quite long, but I used Picasa to edit the video into a short clip. Check it out.
I'll leave you with another shot of the lake I took. Not a bad view I'd say.

Sean is Hysterical Watching Daddy Dance!
Tonight I got Sean hysterically laughing. All I had to do was turn on his "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" mobile and jump around dancing, flailing my limbs in every direction. Sorry it's a little shaky in the first half. It's hard to hold a video camera still while moving like I was.
Check it out.

Back from Vegas
On Sunday morning I flew to Las Vegas, not returning until Wednesday at 5pm. I was there for my company's sales kick-off event, that was all day Monday and Tuesday, and half-day Wednesday.
I flew in the morning on Sunday on purpose because I wanted to take advantage of being there visit Suzi and Jeff, who live and work in Las Vegas. Suzi is one of Darcy's best friends from growing up. Suzi's dad Bruce actually married Darcy and I back on September 16th, 2006, pictured here (only his head) to the left of Darcy:
Suzi picked me up from the airport and drove me to her house. We then went to BJ's for lunch with Jeff, as well as her brother and sister in-law Michael and Erica. After lunch we checked out Michael and Erica's empty house they just bought and are about to move into, but first drove out to check out some red rocks:
Then they dropped me off at Excalibur, but not before stopping to take a pictures at the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign:
After nonstop meetings, dinners, some blackjack, and not enough sleep for three days straight I was ready to come home. I missed Darcy. I missed my own bed. And I couldn't wait to see Sean! This was my view looking down on the strip as I left... That big pool of water in the center of the picture is the front of the Belaggio. I stayed toward the top left of the picture.
I was very happy to see Sean when I got home. It was the longest I had ever been away from him.
Tonight we did an in-diaper-only photo session on his rocking chair and in his crib:

Happy Birthday Malana!
Saturday night we celebrated our friend Malana's first birthday. It was a lot of fun getting the babies together and seeing them interact. Malana loved her cake and Sean and Malana liked making each other cry. In the first two pictures, Sean grabbed Malana's shirt and he's not very gentle so she started crying. That made him start crying and then they switched off a couple times. It was hilarious! By the end of the night though, they were getting along just fine :).

Heartbreaker Super Bowl... Again!
You know that feeling when you get really really really into a game and it doesn't go the way you want it to? It's a feeling that combines frustration, anger, helplessness, and being sick to your stomach. I have never felt this way so badly as when the Giants lost game 6 of the 2002 World Series after leading 5-0 in the sixth inning. I was devastated, and will be scarred for the rest of my life from that heartbreaking loss.
Last year I was a huge fan of the Patriots run at an undefeated season. When they lost the thriller to the NY Giants in the Super Bowl, I felt sick to my stomach.
I have that same feeling again right now, having just watched Arizona scratch and claw and come back to take a 23-20 lead in the 4th quarter all to lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who I have never cared for.
Man, when is the team I'm rooting for going to win for a change?!?!
It was Sean's first Super Bowl so I of course had to capture an image of it. Don't worry, Darcy was right next to him to catch him if he was to fall over:
