Thanksgiving is Behind Us

Sean's first Thanksgiving came and went this weekend - and it was quite busy! Wednesday night we got into Santa Rosa around 8pm. After visiting we went out with Trisha and a few of her friends downtown to see high school friends.

Thanksgiving morning I woke up and went for a run in Annadel, which is a state park in Santa Rosa with hundreds of trails for walking, running, biking, and even horseback riding. The run I did is called "Rough Go". I like it because it is a challenge, and also because of the nostalgia I experience when running it. I was first introduced to the run during high school soccer when my team would run it on Saturday mornings. 13 years later the trail hasn't changed much.

After the run my Dad and I took Sean over to my Nonni and Nonno's house (his parents) to visit. Unfortunately, my camera was low battery so I wasn't able to get any pictures.

The Thanksgiving festivities got started around 2pm when we met my mom's side of the family at my uncle Rick and Aunt Rocky's house. For many of my family members it was the first time seeing Sean.

Pictured here is my mom's cousin (my second cousin) Karen Fleming holding Sean for the first time:

Oh, and I got plenty to eat for dinner :)

On Friday we drove out to my mom's best friend Cathy's house. She and her husband Tim, as well as their son Will, live out in the country North of Santa Rosa. Their other son Sam was home from LA where he attends college at UCLA. We went for a four mile walk as well as visited in their living room and outside on their patio. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

My dad and I shared duties carrying Sean on the walk:

Friday night after getting home from the Tesconi's we stayed in for the night. Auntie Trisha just loves her nephew:

On Saturday we stayed in Santa Rosa because my friend Amy Alton was having an engagement party with her fiance Tim. We decided to bring Sean to show him off to some people who hadn't seen him yet. Even though I'm glad people got to see him, we ultimately had to leave the party early because Sean was not enjoying himself. After an hour and a half his crankiness won over, forcing us to leave. We'll use this as a learning experience. Next time we have a party to go to and have a babysitter available, we'll use it!

We drove home to Campbell Saturday night, getting home about 8.

Sunday (today) we had some visitors. First Meghan and Cat visited at around 11:30 for an hour. I watched the 49ers beat Buffalo while they held Sean. They are so good with him and are such helpful babysitters! We are lucky. They are babysitting Sean for us next weekend when we go to Darcy's company Christmas party.

Next, Darcy's friend Suzi stopped by with her husband Jeff, her brother Michael, and Michael's wife Erica. They live in Las Vegas and spent Thanksgiving in Ceres with Suzi's parents. Their flight back to Vegas from SFO was at at 7:30pm so they decided to spend a few hours with us first. Suzi had yet to meet Sean so this was a great opportunity for her to do so.

Back to work we go now with the final sprint of 2008 before xmas holidays slow down business until after new years. Darcy and I have a very busy weekend schedule in December and I look forward to keeping you all informed about it right here on Narduzzi Nation.

I am so glad I got to spend a little time with Sean yesterday, and my BFF Darcy and hubby Jeff as well! Sorry I can't be a more hands-on auntie, XOXO!
